How to Remove Cat Pee Out Of An Area Rug
  • Step 1.  BLOT the area as quick as you can and as much as you can.  Use a paper towel to absorb any excess urine from your rug. Step on the spot using your heel to press down on the area preventing the urine from expanding.
  • Step 2. Spray 2% hydrogen peroxide let it soak for 5-10 minutes and use a paper towel to absorb until the yellowish liquid is no longer visible. Avoid rubbing the area because this will cause the rug fibers to become matted.
  • Step 3. Use a wet vacuum to remove as much urine as possible. Rinse the area with cold clean water. Lastly, blot it using a dry paper towel.
